Project Manager (civil engineering) – Food industryFreelance Project Manager with civil engineering expertise sought for an upcoming project in September with a global Food production organisation.Start - mid/end SeptemberDuration- 12 months (extension possibilities)Type- Freelance contract via Amoria BondLocation- Flemish Brabant (West of Brussels) - this is mainly an on-site roleThere are multiple investment projects in a variety of phases (study/execution) in which this civil project lead will support. The role will manage a portfolio of civil projects and supervise project engineers leading their own portfolio of work. Projects in scope can be things like:New washing roomshygienic junctionsreorganizing /refurbish complete building levels or new building (parts)Responsibilities:Project preparation and information phase Performs detailed analysis of required civil functions, and defines setup and components required. Communicates with all relevant stakeholders on the definitions of the project. Coordinates, assists, and guides single large or multiple project teams at one given time. Safeguards the Engineering and QA standards during the project design phase. Project execution and commissioning phase Manages the project execution, after IP approval Ensures adherence to the local and highest safety rules, during the project execution. Manages all project on-site activities and resources, internal and external. General Engineering supporting and ad hoc activities Support and coach civil project engineers on project management and ensuring alignment with standards and policies. Challenges existing civil standards and proposes possible improvements if applicable Provides technical support when and where possible Follows technical market evolutions and collects and organizes its documentation Profile requirements:BSc.+ in Civil Engineering or Industrial Architecture 8+ years of experience in a project engineering environment, preferably food/pharma industry Technical skills to understand and develop civil solutions 2D CAD proficient, 3D CAD knowledge Knowledgeable in MS Office Suite, SAP, and engineering software English - advanced level Excellent time management skills, including the ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines Experience in an engineering environmentBasic accounting & budgeting skills (business cases, feasibility studies) Ability to build and set-up project teams and own organization Ability to create partnerships with suppliers Craftsmanship must be highly valued & respected The hiring manager is currently on holiday and therefore profiles will be reviewed by him first week of September.
