Overview We are a Belgian engineering consulting firm that assists SMEs and large industrial organizations in bringing their innovation and R&D initiatives to life. As a System Architect, you will take on a key technical leadership role within a European R&D project focused on the development and evolution of advanced unmanned systems. You will ensure the proper execution of the full development lifecycle (V-cycle), from concept definition to validation and testing, while coordinating multidisciplinary teams and technical activities across multiple partners. Responsibilities Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to define, organize, and oversee all technical activities.
Ensure consistent application and validation of the V-cycle throughout the project phases.
Optimize team workflows, technical processes, and overall project efficiency.
Review and validate all technical developments, documentation, and design reviews.
Supervise system prototyping, integration, and testing activities.
Serve as the main technical reference point within the consortium.
Coordinate technical alignment and communication between engineering teams across different sites.
Profile / Requirements Master\'s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electromechanics, Robotics, Mechatronics, or similar).
Minimum 5 years of experience as a System Engineer or System Architect in robotics, automation, or similar complex systems.
Experience with MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering) is considered a strong advantage.
Familiarity with the maritime or defence sector is a plus.
Strong communication and team leadership skills.
Hands-on mindset — willing to engage directly in technical challenges.
Fluent in English; knowledge of French and/or Dutch is an asset.
