Role Overview
The Compensation Consultant supports the design, implementation, communication, and operational management of compensation and benefits programs. The role plays a key part in ensuring competitive, compliant, and well-understood reward solutions, with a strong focus on change management, stakeholder collaboration, and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Compensation & Benefits Projects
Support the implementation, expansion, and continuous improvement of the Flex Income Plan (FIP) and Federal Mobility Budget (FMB).
Identify and propose new benefits and options to maintain the attractiveness and competitiveness of the plans (e.g. bonus integration, 14th month, devices).
Act as the central point of contact for TRO-related activities linked to FIP/FMB.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (HR, Finance, Legal) and external vendors.
Act as a bridge between the organization and BPO partners to ensure smooth cooperation and implementation.
Escalate issues when necessary and ensure timely resolution.
Change Management
Develop and execute change management strategies to support successful rollout of compensation and benefits initiatives.
Design adoption plans including training, user guidance, and feedback mechanisms.
Ensure stakeholder alignment and employee readiness throughout change initiatives.
Communication & Employee Engagement
Develop communication plans for launches and ongoing updates of compensation programs.
Create clear, engaging, and easy-to-understand communication materials (FAQs, brochures, intranet content, videos).
Organize information sessions, webinars, and Q&A sessions for employees.
Collect and analyze employee feedback and continuously optimize communication approaches.
Analysis & Reporting
Monitor participation and usage of compensation and benefits programs.
Analyze trends and prepare reports with insights and recommendations for improvement.
Warrants & Pay Transparency
Manage and optimize communication related to the Warrants Plan.
Respond to employee questions related to the 2025/2026 bonus payout.
Develop additional educational materials to support employee understanding.
Organize information sessions and follow up on employee feedback.
Support Talent Liaisons, Benefits, and Payroll teams in the implementation of the Pay Transparency project.
Operational & Payroll Support
BELSPO
Prepare headcount information for the tax department.
Follow up on diploma validation processes, including coordination with employees and tax authorities for foreign diploma recognition.
Prepare payroll closings (three per year).
DARWIN Payroll
Run monthly DARWIN payroll closings.
Follow up on payroll deltas with DKV.
Update payroll data in eBlox accordingly.
Insurance & Pension Plans
Plan de prévoyance – Medical Part-Time
Collect required documentation on a monthly basis.
Prepare calculations and follow up with AXA when applicable.
Plan de prévoyance – Work Accident
Collect required documentation and prepare monthly calculations.
What are we looking for?
Core Expertise
Advanced knowledge of Flexible Benefits, Change Management, Communication, and Stakeholder Management.
Solid understanding of Warrants, Pay Transparency, Project Management, Vendor Management, and Data Reporting.
Good knowledge of Belgian social legislation.
Digital Mindset
Strong digital fluency and effective use of HR systems and tools.
Ability to identify opportunities for process digitalization.
Proactive promoter of digital best practices.
Soft Skills
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
High level of integrity and attention to detail.
Team player with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
Languages & Tools
Languages: French and English required; Dutch preferred.
Tools: eBlox, FIP tool (SD Worx).
