About the Role
We are seeking a Fullstack .NET Developer (Freelance) to join our client's internal ICT development team for a 12-month, full-time mission in Brussels. You'll be at the heart of developing advanced scientific solutions, driving innovation that matters. As a Fullstack .NET Developer, you will be instrumental in delivering high-impact applications that empower research, data analysis, and decision-making. Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain fullstack applications using .NET technologies, ensuring scalability and performance.
* Implement object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and n-tier architecture for robust solutions.
* Develop and optimize backend services with C#, .NET Framework 4.0/4.5, .NET Core, and Entity Framework.
* Build dynamic, responsive frontends using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, SCSS/SASS,,, and
* Work with MS SQL Server and other databases to ensure data integrity and performance.
* Leverage DevOps tools (MS Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes) for streamlined development and deployment.
* Ensure application security with EntityServer, OpenID Connect, and best practices for web applications.
* Develop and integrate REST API services for seamless interoperability.
* Contribute to mobile application development using React Native and Expo, including deployment to Google Play and App Store.
* Write and maintain unit tests with NUnit and xUnit to guarantee code quality.
* Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum team, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
Technical Skills
* Proven expertise in .NET (C#, ASP.Net, .NET Framework, .NET Core, MVC, Blazor, Angular)
* Strong experience with database technologies: Oracle, Postgres, SQL, and related tools
* DevOps proficiency: Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git, GitHub, Artifactory, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes
* Frontend technologies: Angular, PWA, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, SCSS/SASS,, ,
* Mobile application development: React Native, Expo, deployment to app stores
* Object-oriented programming and design patterns
* OpenID Connect and web application security
* REST API development and integration
* Unit testing: NUnit, xUnit
Language Proficiency
* English: Active knowledge required
* Dutch: Passive knowledge
* French: Passive knowledge
Other Requirements
* Confirmed experience as an Application Developer
* Demonstrated ownership, problem-solving mindset, and drive for impact
* Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
* On-site presence in Brussels required (no remote option)
* Freelance contract for 12 months, full-time
