Ph3System Architect /h3 pbDate: /b27 May 2026 /p pbCompany: /bAlstom /p pbPurpose of the job: /b /p ul liLead the design and specification of a system or a sub-system part of it for new development or evolutions of existing ones, in complement to its system designer role /li /ul pbPOSITION IN THE ORGANISATION /b /p pbOrganisation structure: /b /p pbReports directly to: /b Program Development Manager (in program context) /p pbOther reporting to: /b /p pbACCOUNTABILITIES AUTHORITIES /b /p pbMission and deliverables: /b /p ul liMember of the program engineering team /li liApplies processes, methods and tools as referenced by the program plans /li liSupports the Program Development Manager for identification of technical risks and definition of the development strategy /li liUnder the control of the Program Development Manager, and in collaboration with the System Designers and coordination with other System Architects (s/he ensures quality, consistency, and on time delivery of the design and specification according to the development strategy) /li liLeads and participates to the system design and specifications, defines the system architecture and by application of System Engineering techniques for : /li liSystem Design (conceptual design through critical thinking holistic analysis; integration of end-users, experts and CCN recommendations; phases concurrent engineering; ensures design for testability, cybersecurity, RAM and safety; provides interface resolution and management) /li liTechnical reviews decisions /li liSystem Specifications (Structured system specifications; development and integration of RAM, safety, cybersecurity, sub-system, software, hardware and VV needs; system modelling and requirements writing, management and traceability) /li liApplication of verifications (document reviews, peer reviews) /li liConfiguration Management /li liInterfaces with the System Application Architect for projects and tenders activities (evolutions anomalies analysis, design documentation support) /li liPrepares program/project documents (e.g. training material, user manuals, …) (s/he is in charge of) /li liParticipates to the material selection and procurement activities as required for the system delivery /li liAlerts and reports on any event/risks that may impact the system development /li liParticipates to the program CCB /li liKeep himself informed of the evolution of technologies through technological watch /li liContribute to continuous improvement (REX: Return of EXperience, process, workload estimations/metrics, …) /li liSupports the Program Development Manager for workload estimations for the system design deliverables /li liPromoting the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct. /li /ul pbEXPERIENCE PREREQUISITES REQUIRED COMPETENCES /b /p pbEducational Requirements /b /p pbMandatory: /b /p ul liMaster Degree /li liCertification in System Engineering /li /ul pbExperience /b /p pbMandatory: /b /p ul liAlstom internal Training Advanced System Architect Program (ASAP for Architects) /li liKnowledge of the (railway) program domain /li liAlstom internal Training Advanced System Architect Program (ASAP) /li liSpecific domain knowledge (as applicable - signalling, ATLAS, Metro systems, ATP, ITCS, ..) /li liExpertise in (Model Based) System Engineering /li liProduct Domain knowledge /li liAbility to work transversally with Engineering teams /li liUnderstanding of Hardware and Software development /li liUnderstanding of System VV /li liDesign for safety and cybersecurity (when required) and RAM compliance /li liDesign for Quality life cycle /li /ul pbEqual opportunity statement: /b /p pAlstom is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive working environment where all our employees are encouraged to reach their full potential, and individual differences are valued and respected.
