Accountabilities:
Lead and manage a small cross‑functional engineering team (backend and frontend), ensuring alignment, productivity, and strong team dynamics
Actively contribute to product development alongside the team, balancing leadership responsibilities with hands‑on coding
Drive hiring efforts, including interviewing candidates and supporting onboarding processes for new team members
Foster a positive team environment by providing continuous feedback, coaching, and career development support
Act as the primary point of contact and advocate for the team, ensuring clear communication and alignment with stakeholders
Promote engineering best practices, efficient workflows, and high‑quality code delivery
Encourage collaboration, inclusivity, and continuous improvement across the team
Requirements:
Proven experience managing engineering teams (at least 2+ direct reports) in a professional environment
Strong backend development expertise, particularly with technologies such as Elixir/Phoenix or similar frameworks
Solid understanding of software engineering principles, architecture, and development best practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members
Demonstrated ability to balance technical execution with leadership responsibilities
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing projects and team workflows
Experience fostering inclusive, diverse, and high‑performing team environments
Ability to work effectively in a remote, fast‑paced, and asynchronous setting
