Overview
Contribute to the successful implementation of the project portfolio by executing operational projects in a structured manner so that projects are delivered on time and with the available resources.
Responsibilities
* Drawing up a project plan in consultation with managers, experts, etc. to ensure structured implementation, representation of all necessary parties, and availability of expertise.
* Defining scope and objectives, identifying material, human, and financial resources, ensuring availability.
* Elaborating and writing out steps to be completed in sequence or parallel within the project trajectory.
* Defining parties involved and determining time needed for each step.
* Identifying, neutralising or controlling and reporting risk factors that may lead to delays or blockages; defining success factors to measure progress.
* Follow‑up project plan, support Project Team implementation: organise workshops, provide expertise and documentation, keep stakeholders informed, ensure timely deliverables, validate concepts, report to Senior Manager Projects.
* Direct follow‑up to formal handover after implementation, ensuring integration into daily activities without negative impact. This includes ensuring follow‑up for a predetermined period, inserting a final evaluation, and formal hand‑over.
* Draw up a communication plan with stakeholders, ensuring a practical organisation of all formal and informal information flows.
* Lead project staff: optimise operation, draw budgets, develop management tools, organise task distribution and monitoring, stimulate motivation and teamwork.
Candidate profile
* Operational project manager with ideally at least 5 years of experience, preferably in Air Traffic Control and/or Management.
* Project management expertise ensuring successful project outcomes.
* Prince2 certification.
* Thorough knowledge of Air Traffic Control and Air Traffic Management.
* Good grasp of Airspace procedures, management and organisation; ATM‑related systems such as ATCO HMI, AMAN, Radar Technologies, voice and navigation systems; EASA and ATM compliance aspects.
* Experience in defining and describing processes and procedures.
* Strong functional analytical skills and hands‑on mentality.
* Customer and service‑oriented attitude.
* Strong communication skills, adaptability to audience.
* Very good knowledge of English and good knowledge of Dutch and French.
Security Screening
Prior to employment, candidates must undergo security screening conducted by the National Security Authority.
