Context
At Degroof Petercam Private Banking, knowledge and trust are central to our service. Within the Client Center, we manage the relationship with our Mass Affluent clients and offer them investment solutions. We also support the rollout and use of digital tools for all Private Banking clients. To strengthen this dynamic team, we are looking for a Client Center Team Leader.
Your position
As a Client Center Team Leader, you lead a team of about 10 employees who serve our clients from the main office in Brussels. You report to the Head of Mass Affluent.
You propose improvements to processes and tools and oversee their implementation within the team. You also play an active role in the rollout of digital banking tools to our clients. Furthermore, you work with the team on complex client inquiries.
The goal is to guarantee a high-quality, efficient, and client-oriented service, with "Trust" and "Knowledge" as core values.
Tasks and responsibilities
1. People management:
2. Guide colleagues in their daily tasks and more complex files.
3. Support less experienced employees.
4. Recruit and onboard new employees in collaboration with the Head of Mass Affluent.
5. Coach employees and contribute to a positive group dynamic.
6. Communication and strategy:
7. Translate the department's strategy into clear guidelines, procedures, and processes.
8. Communicate and implement these guidelines within the team.
9. Inform about relevant regulations.
10. Work together with other teams to optimize client service.
11. Monitoring and steering:
12. Carry out checks on assigned activities.
13. Perform quality checks on the work of team members.
14. Ensure compliance with procedures.
15. Set up and monitor Key Performance Indicators.
16. Collaborate with the team on complex client inquiries.
17. Project management:
18. Follow up and manage projects linked to the Client Center.
Your profile
* Master's degree with at least 5 years of experience in the banking sector or financial services consulting, or equivalent through experience.
* First experience in people management and change management.
* Experience in project work, project management, agile methodology, and incident management.
* Affinity with or interest in investments and financial markets.
* Comfortable with digital tools and proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and possibly PowerBI, SQL, etc.
* Proficient in French, Dutch, and English in a professional context.
* Client- and solution-oriented.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills: able to motivate, develop, and coach employees, resolve conflicts, provide constructive feedback, etc.
* Able to function well in a team and build bridges between stakeholders.
* Able to make quick decisions when necessary.
* Proactively report to your supervisor.
