Electrical Systems Engineer
The role of an Electrical Systems Engineer involves designing, developing, and maintaining electrical systems to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. This includes low and high voltage systems, network infrastructure, gas monitoring systems, lighting, and security systems such as CCTV and badge access control.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to align on scope, planning, budget, and technologies. This may involve supervising third-party contractors, preparing work to be carried out, drafting technical specifications, and selecting and appointing contractors.
Your responsibilities will include creating and managing Purchase Orders, being present during contractor work, monitoring progress, and managing necessary permits. You will also complete validation or verification scripts if required, finalize as-built documentation, review and approve work orders and invoices, and keep resource planning up to date.
This is a challenging role that requires strong communication skills, teamwork, organizational talent, and problem-solving ability. You must be able to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively, maintain oversight and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment, and think creatively to tackle challenges proactively.
We are looking for someone who has minimum 1 year of experience working with electricity and/or security systems at an industrial level. A master's degree in electrical or electromechanical engineering, or a bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience, is preferred. Excellent command of English and Dutch (oral and written) is required. Proficiency in VCA for supervisors, knowledge of Caneco for cable calculations, and experience with design software such as Eplan or AutoCAD are also essential.
