We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our team supporting digital transformation initiatives within European Institutions in Brussels. In this role, you will contribute to the analysis, definition, and validation of business requirements for large-scale IT systems, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical solutions.
You will work closely with business owners, domain experts, project managers, and technical teams to translate complex requirements into structured documentation and support the successful delivery of digital solutions. The role also involves participation in strategic initiatives related to digital credentials, the Once-Only Technical System, and the European Digital Identity Wallet.
The ideal candidate is a senior profile (13+ years of experience, including at least 10 years in functional analysis), capable of operating in complex, multicultural environments and handling high-level stakeholder interactions.
Key Responsibilities Business Analysis & Requirements Management Draft, analyse, and document business requirements.
Review inputs from domain experts and translate them into structured requirements.
Ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions.
Prioritise business requirements based on project objectives and constraints.
Apply structured methodologies to draft and review requirements.
Business Process & Risk Analysis Perform business model analysis and business process analysis.
Conduct risk analysis to identify potential issues and propose mitigation strategies.
Ensure deliverables remain aligned with initial business requirements and quality standards.
Testing & Validation Prepare test cases based on defined requirements.
Oversee and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
Contribute to validation processes to ensure solutions meet business expectations.
Stakeholder Coordination Interact with: Business analysts, Business owners, Customers, Project managers
Facilitate communication between business and IT teams.
Participate in agile IT project management activities and business meetings.
Deliver presentations and reports to various stakeholders.
Project & Domain‑Specific Support Support discussions related to the Once-Only Technical System.
Contribute to the coordination of digital credential solutions (e.g., ESSPASS).
Oversee technical activities related to pilot projects with Member States, including: Digitalisation of diplomas
European Digital Identity Wallet initiatives
Required Skills & Experience Experience Minimum 13 years of professional experience.
At least 10 years of specific expertise in functional/business analysis.
Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
Business Analysis Expertise Strong experience in:

Business process modelling and analysis
