Electrical Superintendent - Utility Scale BESS Project - Liège, Belgium - €Excellent Day Rate - 12 Month Contract - Immediate/ASAP Start Date - Monday to Friday (10 Hour Days) + Potential/Optional Weekend Work
We are supporting a leading international energy technology provider on the delivery of a 50MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Belgium.
Due to an urgent requirement on site, we are looking to engage an experienced Electrical Superintendent to take ownership of electrical works across both installation and commissioning phases.
Role Overview:
This is a site-based role requiring a hands-on electrical lead who can manage subcontractors, advise on electrical installation to ensure high quality, and support the transition into commissioning. You will act as the Project Managers 2IC on-site, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
Responsibilities:
* Advise on and coordinate all electrical installation activities (MV/LV systems, cabling, terminations)
* Manage electrical subcontractors and daily site operations
* Ensure compliance with HSE standards and local regulations
* Review drawings, method statements, and technical documentation
* Support testing, energisation, and commissioning activities
* Interface with engineering and commissioning teams
* Track progress and escalate risks/issues to project leadership
Requirements:
* 5+ years' experience as an Electrical Superintendent, Electrical Supervisor, Electrical Advisor, Electrical Project Manager or a similar electrical role
* Strong background in either BESS, Solar PV, Wind Farm, Substations (Power T&D), Power Generation or Oil & Gas projects
* Experience covering both electrical installation and commissioning phases
* Strong subcontractor management experience
* Professional/fluent French language skills
* Based locally in Belgium
