We provide M&A services, financing solutions and financial strategy services dedicated to small and medium sized companies.Focused on excellence and transparency, we provide distinctive and independent advice with the highest standard of quality and integrity.We are looking for an Associate to join our growing team in Brussels and share our passion for investment banking.Job descriptionAs an Associate, you will:Take part in the execution of international transactions and financial strategy consulting assignmentsWork on a wide range of assignments and interact with high profile clients across multiple sectorsPrepare presentation materials such as teaser, information memorandum and pitch deckCarry out company valuation, financial model and structuringGather and synthesize industry information from research sources including the Internet, trade publications, industry and investment banking analyst reports, and periodicalsHave the opportunity to work closely with Partners while developing your entrepreneurial skillsQualificationsAs an Associate, you should:Understanding of the full sell-side / buy-side process (process management, timelines, buyer outreach, data room, negotiations)Knowledge of M&A legal documentation (SPA, LOI, NDA, etc.)Understanding of M&A laws and regulations (competition, corporate law basics, transaction mechanics)Conceptualising investment theses and value creation levers (not only modelling, but why a transaction makes sense)Manage and mentor junior staff by reviewing Analysts' work, providing upward leverage, managing workstreams, effective delegation and supervision as well as feedback deliverySupport in business development activities (pitch, client meetings)Demonstrate a strong interest in corporate finance, entrepreneurship and consultingShow strong analytical, problem-solving, oral and written communication skillsBe able to manage several projects at once and work effectively as part of a teamDemonstrate an understanding of business strategy, financial statement analysis and company valuation techniquesHave a self-reliance, "roll up sleeves" mentality and can-do attitudeHave a master's degree in Finance, Management or EngineeringHave a minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in corporate finance, private equity or strategy consulting firmBe proficient in Microsoft Office, with a focus on PowerPoint and ExcelBe fluent in English and French and/or DutchPersonal & Interpersonal competenciesAttention to detailJudgment and risk assessmentIntellectual curiosityProfessional maturity and internal presenceClient service mindset and rapport buildingTime management and deadline ownershipPresentation and meeting presenceAbility to work under pressureLocationThe office is based in Brussels – Fosbury&Sons (Boitsfort).The role can be flexible in terms of home working vs office based, with a minimum of three days per week in the office.PackageSalary based on experience with a bonus package linked to the comany's results.Depending on the skills developped, possibility to join rapidly the partnership.
