As Production Manager, you strengthen and professionalise the daily operations of our weaving plant. You act as a performance catalyst on the shopfloor: coaching teams, improving structure and ensuring that operational targets are translated into consistent execution. You work closely with the Plant Manager and play a key role in developing a high-performing production organisation.
What you do
Operational excellence
* Translate plant objectives into clear daily priorities
* Improve OEE & output through structured analysis of downtime and recurring stops
* Drive efficiency and cost awareness (including cost per pick)
* Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE regulations
* Strengthen performance follow-up via KPIs and visual management
Team coaching & leadership
* Direct leadership of the day shift (10 FTE’s), including maintenance, cleaning and warehouse functions
* Coach shiftleaders in ownership, structure and problem solving
* Support operator development and training
* Create clarity in roles, expectations and accountability
* Build a performance culture based on facts and follow-up
Process & structure improvement
* Improve production planning flow in collaboration with supply chain team
* Strengthen coordination between production, maintenance and quality
* Standardise working methods and reduce variability
* Implement lean tools and continuous improvement initiatives
* Turn operational data into structured improvement actions
Cross-functional collaboration
* Work closely with Quality on root cause analysis
* Align with maintenance on preventive actions
* Contribute to improving inbound/outbound production processes
This role offers broad exposure to operational management and plant-level performance topics. You will gradually take ownership of larger performance domains and strategic improvement initiatives.
Who you are
* You are a structured operations professional with strong coaching skills and clear growth potential.
* You hold a master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Sciences or an equivalent field.
* You bring 5 to 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with textile experience as an added advantage.
* You have proven experience in leading teams within a production setting.
* You demonstrate a strong analytical mindset with a natural affinity for KPIs and cost structures.
* You work in a hands-on, structured and decisive manner.
* You communicate fluently in French, have a strong professional command of English, and knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
* You combine operational realism with the ability to elevate both people and processes.
* You focus on improving systems rather than merely solving symptoms.
