All aboard: explore your role with us
As a Procurement Buyer you will select, evaluate and partner up with global suppliers/subcontractors in order to ensure sourcing efficiency and guarantee that (inter)national business needs are met.
7. You are responsible for the strategic supplier selection of specific product categories. Building long-term relationships with strategic suppliers to drive innovation and collaboration.
8. Lead contract negotiations with new and existing partners to secure the best terms for pricing, delivery, and quality.
9. Manage budgets effectively and drive cost-saving initiatives through data analysis and strategic negotiations, without compromising quality.
10. Together with the Quality engineers, you actively follow-up the supplier performance evaluation and take the lead in handling escalated non-conformities and structural quality assurance.
11. You collaborate closely with R&D, project and product management to support successful on new product introductions and cost optimization.
12. You work closely together with the purchasing teams (Belgium, Bulgaria, US, Germany) and have a steering and/or supporting role in their sourcing activities.
13. You stay up to date with procurement best practices, new methodologies, and tools to continuously optimize procurement processes and the department's performance.
Track your skills: how you can add value to our team
14. You combine a relevant Bachelor or Master’s degree with 5+ years of procurement experience in a technical environment.
15. Knowledge of Excel is required; you’re looking forward to working with SAP and PowerBI.
16. You speak and write Dutch and English fluently. Knowledge of other languages (e.g. French, German) is a plus.
17. You are willing to travel up to 10% of your time.
