To join a renown Biopharmaceutical company, we are recruiting a Safety Advisor specialized in regulatory compliance. This is a long term consultancy position based in Walloon Brabant and requiring 3 days on-site presence/week.

The Legal Compliance function ensures that regulated technical assets across multiple industrial sites remain compliant with applicable regulatory frameworks. This role sits within a Project & Support unit and acts as a key interface between internal stakeholders such as HSE teams, technical services, equipment owners, and—when required—senior governance bodies.
The primary mission is to ensure that equipment introduced through construction or installation projects meets all legal and regulatory requirements before entering the operational compliance lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Project‑Related Activities
* Participate early in building and equipment implementation projects.
* Identify equipment impacted by each project and determine applicable regulatory obligations.
* Collaborate with HSE representatives to gather and clarify compliance‑critical information.
* Ensure that, upon project completion:
* All equipment meets relevant legal and regulatory standards.
* Assets can be seamlessly transferred into the operational compliance management process.
Support Activities
* Provide senior‑level support to the Legal Compliance team, which includes specialists across various equipment families.
* Contribute to the review and interpretation of inspection and control reports.
* Support the handling of non‑conformities, ranging from minor documentation gaps to major regulatory deviations.
* Participate in communication and follow‑up with equipment owners.
* Offer structured, analytical support to both project teams and compliance operations.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Professional Background
* Certified Prevention Advisor (mandatory).
* Approximately 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
* Demonstrated experience in legal compliance beyond traditional HSE scope.
* Clear understanding of the distinction between HSE responsibilities and legal/regulatory compliance.
Regulatory Knowledge
Strong working knowledge (not necessarily expert‑level) in several of the following areas:
* Electrical safety (LV/HV)
* Pressure equipment
* Fire protection systems
* Legionella control
* ATEX environments
Ability to rapidly understand and navigate new regulatory frameworks.
Languages
