About the Role
Our client, a leading logistics organisation based in Brussels, is looking for an experienced Freelance Credit Analyst to support their finance team during an assignment. The role focuses on assessing the solvency and creditworthiness of customers operating mainly within Europe.
You will be responsible for evaluating whether payment terms can be granted to clients and determining the appropriate conditions (e.g., guarantees). You will also be expected to justify and communicate your credit decisions to internal stakeholders, including the finance department and sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyse the financial stability and solvency of clients across various European markets.
• Assess credit risk and determine suitable payment terms and conditions.
• Recommend guarantees or additional measures when necessary.
• Present and justify credit decisions to internal stakeholders (finance and sales).
• Work efficiently within an international environment and manage priorities independently.
Required Skills & Experience
• Proven, solid experience as a Credit Analyst—essential due to the short-term nature of the assignment.
• Strong understanding of credit risk assessment in an international B2B context.
• Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with cross‑functional teams.
• French & English required.
• Dutch is an asset but not mandatory (a Dutch-speaking analyst is already in the team).
