We are a language services provider working under a European Union contract for interpretation services, and we are currently seeking an experienced Travel Agent to join our team in Brussels.
Role Overview
The Travel Agent will be responsible for organising and managing travel arrangements for conference interpreters assigned to EU institutional conferences. This role requires precision, speed, and strong cost-awareness, as bookings are often made under tight deadlines and within contractual constraints.
Key Responsibilities
* Booking flights, hotels, and train travel using specialised booking platforms
* Managing complex itineraries for conference interpreters
* Ensuring compliance with internal requirements and procedures
* Optimising travel arrangements to achieve cost efficiency while meeting operational needs
* Handling last-minute changes, cancellations, and urgent requests
* Liaising with interpreters, internal teams, and travel service providers
* Maintaining accurate booking records and documentation
Required Profile
* Proven experience as a travel agent or travel coordinator (essential)
* Strong expertise in booking travel via professional / specialised platforms
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and tight deadlines
* Experience with cost optimisation and budget-conscious travel planning
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Language Requirements
* English – Mandatory
* French – Preferable but not mandatory
* Additional EU languages are a strong asset
