What you'll do:
Integrate client's requirements (e.g. new features, bug fixing, build adapters) to the open-source framework PowSyBl
Support in the internal development of grid analysis tools (e.g. Topology Optimizer, Voltage Optimizer) within client
Work on combining open-source topology and redispatch optimization tools
Adapt OpenRAO to the needs of client.
Knowledge on grid models is required (CGMES, UCT)
Carrying out benchmarks to identify bottlenecks and for quantitative evaluation.
Work with network data to ensure the applicability of these methods in practice,
Align self-developed load flow tools with the production systems currently in use
Support your colleagues with your electrical engineering expertise
(Optional) scientific publication of the knowledge gained.
What you bring:
Good Electrical engineering knowledge focus load flow computations / grid data
Strong knowledge on coding language Java, Python
Knowledge in MILP/Quality-Diversity /general non-convex optimization
Plus: Knowledge of parallel programming patterns and massively-parallel hardware (GPUs)
Experience in the development of the open-source framework Powsybl
Experience in modeling energy systems
Strong academic background in electrical engineering
BSc or MSc in Computer Science, data science, engineering, informatics, or similar is a plus
Fluent in English. Additional language skills in German, Dutch or French is a plus
Experience: at least three years +
Good communication skills
