H2Senior Data Engineer (GCP / Data platform) /h2 br/ h2About the opportunity /h2 br/ Our client is looking for a highly senior Data Engineer to strengthen its Data Platform team.br/ We are looking for someone capable of designing scalable cloud-native data solutions while mentoring engineers and driving best practices across the platform.br/ br/ h2Your responsibilities /h2 br/ As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a central role in the design, evolution, and optimization of the company's cloud data platform.br/ br/ Your responsibilities will include:br/ ul liData platform architecture: ul liDesign and implement scalable Data Lake and Data Warehouse solutions on GCP /li liDefine end-to-end technical flows using: ul liBigQuery /li liDataform /li liCloud Run /li liPub/Sub /li liAPIs /li /ul /li liSupport migration initiatives from legacy systems to modern cloud-native GCP environments /li liDesign robust and scalable real-time data integration solutions /li liEnsure platform scalability, maintainability, and reliability /li /ul /li liData engineering governance: ul liStructure and historize data coming from multiple business domains /li liEnsure data is reliable, accessible, and easily consumable for: ul liData Scientists /li liReporting teams /li liBusiness stakeholders /li /ul /li liDefine and maintain best practices around: ul liData Warehouse design /li liIAM privacy /li liData governance /li liCloud architecture standards /li /ul /li liContribute to AI/ML deployment standards and platform evolution /li /ul /li liLeadership collaboration: ul liCoach and mentor Data Engineers on complex technical challenges /li liAct as a senior technical reference point within the team /li liCollaborate closely with Product Owners and business stakeholders /li liTranslate functional requirements into actionable technical solutions and work packages /li liPromote engineering best practices and help raise the overall maturity level of the platform team /li /ul /li liFinOps optimization: ul liOptimize GCP resource usage and cloud costs /li liContribute to performance improvements and operational efficiency initiatives /li /ul /li /ul br/ h2Ideal profile /h2 ul li8+ years of experience in Data Engineering or similar roles /li liStrong expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) /li liSolid experience within Data Warehouse environments /li liProven experience on legacy-to-cloud migration projects /li liStrong understanding of cloud-native architectures and scalable data platforms /li liGood knowledge of real-time integration patterns and API-based architectures /li liExposure to AI-related initiatives is considered a strong plus /li liStrong analytical and problem-solving mindset /li liExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills /li liComfortable working in a highly autonomous and senior environment /li liFluent English required + French or Dutch /li /ul
