Project Engineer - High-Pressure Hydrogen at Atlas Copco Group
Your role
The High-Pressure Hydrogen team within Airtec Airpower is looking for a motivated Project Engineer to help shape the future of clean mobility. Based in Antwerp, our team develops advanced high‑pressure hydrogen cores that drive the next generation of hydrogen boosters. As a Project Engineer, you will join a dedicated group responsible for the engineering and design of these cores, take full technical ownership, support production teams throughout the industrialization process, and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
In this role you will contribute to managing the current product portfolio while actively supporting the development of future generations of cores. You will maintain a strong customer‑focused mindset and drive continuous internal improvement. Occasional travel (e.g., to our production site in Pune, India) may be required. You will be part of a truly international environment, working across global engineering and production sites to develop innovative technological solutions.

Qualifications
* Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
* Strong skills in mechanical design and product development.
* Proficiency in CAD software (ideally Inventor), PLM and ERP systems (Enovia, BPCS, SAP, etc.).
* Strong knowledge of MATLAB and Excel.
* Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Location
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on‑site at our Atlas Copco Airpower site in Wilrijk, Antwerp, Belgium.
