About the Role

As a fast-growing company, Virto Solar is looking for a Sales Manager to lead the commercial success and future growth of our Virto.CORE application. In this dual-impact role, you’ll actively hunt for new manufacturing prospects while driving strategic sales and growth initiatives. You’ll own enterprise-level, high-value deals and nurture key customer relationships, combining sales expertise with hands-on execution.

This is a unique opportunity to become our very first CORE Sales & Partnerships Manager at a crucial stage of our product journey. More than just a sales role, it’s a chance to build and grow. From managing a portfolio of strategic customers and driving revenue through renewals and expansions, to designing scalable systems that will shape our customer lifecycle for years to come.

Responsibilities

* Drive Key Strategic Deals: Take the lead on complex, high-value sales with enterprise and large commercial customers, personally managing the entire sales cycle.
* Expand Revenue & Execute Sales Strategies: Develop and implement strategies to grow our customer base, drive renewals and increase product adoption.
* Account Management: Act as a trusted advisor to existing customers, ensuring long-term value realization and satisfaction.
* Partnership Development: Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships across the entire Virto Solar portfolio—collaborating with industry partners, technology providers and other key stakeholders to expand our market reach and impact.
* Sales Process Optimization: Utilize HubSpot CRM to track leads, manage the sales pipeline, automate processes and generate reports that drive performance improvements.
* Account Planning & Expansion: Build detailed account plans and expansion strategies tailored to customer needs and growth potential.
* Product Expertise & Customer Needs Analysis: Develop a comprehensive understanding of Virto.CORE and related applications to effectively represent our company and products. Identify prospect needs and recommend product refinements to ensure the best fit.
* Collaboration with Project & C-Level Stakeholders: Work closely with Project Managers and executive stakeholders to finalize software customization estimates. Prepare accurate quotations.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with our Product/Marketing teams to refine messaging and address evolving customer needs.
* International Presence: Participate in international tradeshows/networking events to represent Virto Solar and grow your professional network.
* Customer Feedback & Relationship Management: Collaborate with Product to channel feedback from customers. Build lasting, credible relationships to reinforce trust and customer loyalty.
* Report to the CEO.

What are we looking for?

* Proven Sales Experience: you have 5+ years of experience in sales and business development, with a strong focus on customer success and long-term relationship building.
* Industry Know-How: you have at least 3+ years of experience in the solar sector or with mounting systems and understand the unique dynamics of this industry.
* Strategic Deal-Maker: you have a solid track record of closing complex, high-value deals, as well as managing renewals and driving account expansion.
* .Partnership Builder: you know how to identify strategic opportunities and develop partnerships, with the confidence to build processes from scratch.
* Tech-Savvy Mindset: you have a good grasp of software development processes and feel comfortable operating in tech-driven environments.
* Excellent Communicator with strong communication and problem-solving skills, you know how to connect with customers and colleagues.
* Adaptable & Hands-On: you’re at ease in fast-moving, early-stage environments, and you’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves.
* Language Skills: you’re fluent in English. Knowledge of other European languages (like French, Spanish, German,...) is a big plus.
* Location – Ideally, you're based in the Benelux region, allowing for occasional in-person meetings and easier collaboration with our team in Geel, Belgium.

Nice to have:

* You have a degree in the STEM-field (ideally Electrical, Mechanical or Solar Engineering).
* You have experience with the dynamics of SaaS-sales.
* You’re familiar with HubSpot, Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
* You have experience in working in product-led growth (PLG) environments.
