Role Overview
We are looking for a Security Engineer who will be jointly responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and improving enterprise security solutions, with a strong focus on the Microsoft Security ecosystem. The role involves close collaboration with IT teams, the CISO, and external partners to proactively detect, mitigate, and manage security risks across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Microsoft Security Operations
* Daily management of Microsoft Security components, including:
* Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
* Microsoft Defender for Cloud
* Microsoft Defender for Identity
* Execute and maintain security checklists
* Analyze security events, alerts, and vulnerabilities
* Actively follow up on reports and formulate security improvement proposals
* Deploy and track security-related tasks and tickets across teams
Identity & Access Management
* Contribute to IAM initiatives including:
* Conditional Access
* Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
* Privileged Identity Management (PIM)
* Ensure operational follow-up of configurations and changes in line with security guidelines and policies
Incident Response & Threat Hunting
* Actively carry out and support incident response activities
* Perform threat hunting and root-cause analysis
* Identify, manage, and resolve security incidents according to defined processes
Security Governance & Compliance
* Maintain oversight and documentation of security controls
* Follow up on:
* Device compliance
* Microsoft Secure Score
* Asset inventory
* Lifecycle management of systems and applications
* Security policies, processes, and procedures
* Evangelize security policies and act as a security advisor to internal teams
Required Experience & Skills
Core Experience
* Strong background in ICT and Security, with hands-on experience in Microsoft security technologies
* Broad work experience as a System Engineer, enabling accurate incident assessment and remediation
* Proven ability to manage security operations in complex enterprise environments
Technical Expertise
* Active Directory / ADFS
* Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), MFA, Conditional Access
* Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) / Intune
* Microsoft Defender Suite
* Microsoft Azure
* VMware
* Fortinet
* Cisco Switching
Security Knowledge
* Strong understanding of security methodologies, best practices, and standards
* Experience with security frameworks:
* Cyberfundamentals
* NIST
* CIS
* ISO 27001
* Knowledge of NIS2 is an added advantage
Certifications (Required / Preferred)
* Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator
* Microsoft Certified Cybersecurity Architect Expert
* Azure Security Engineer
* Other relevant cybersecurity certifications or equivalent experience
