What You'll be Doing
As a Security Engineer at dotOcean, you help keep our systems, networks, and data safe. Security is part of everything you build.
You work closely with our DevOps, IT, and engineering teams to make sure our environments stay strong and reliable. You spot vulnerabilities before they cause problems, find their root cause, and fix them in a practical way.
You help automate security checks, write and improve security policies, and support standards such as ISO 27001 and NIS2. You document your work clearly and share your knowledge with the team — helping us build secure technology that we can trust.
What We Expect From You
A bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent professional experience.
Two to three years of experience as a Security Engineer or in a similar role.
A security-first mindset – you think in risks, mitigations and long-term resilience.
Solid understanding of network and system security principles, including LAN/WAN topologies.
Hands-on experience with firewalls, endpoint and EDR management, Windows & Linux hardening, account and access management, TLS and PKI and vulnerability scanners.
Familiarity with SIEM systems and the security risk-management process.
Certifications such as CEH are valued but not required – your curiosity and problem-solving skills matter most.
Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud environments is a plus.
Knowledge of security standards such as ISO/IEC 27001 and NIS2 and experience with audits or certification is an asset.
