Role Overview
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing industrial projects from A to Z, including new installations, process optimizations, and capacity expansions. You will lead the full project cycle—covering technical coordination, stakeholder management, and on-site execution—ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage scope, budget, planning, and quality of multiple concurrent projects.
• Oversee all project stages: feasibility, engineering (basic & detailed), procurement, execution, and commissioning.
• Define project layouts and process parameters in collaboration with production and R&D.
• Provide technical input for P&IDs and design documentation.
• Integrate safety, ergonomics, maintenance, and energy efficiency into project planning.
• Work closely with purchasing teams for components and services.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary internal and external teams throughout project execution.
• Supervise on-site installation and commissioning, ensuring safe and efficient handover.
Profile Requirements
Technical Qualifications
• Master’s degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, or metallurgical engineering (industrial engineer minimum).
• Experience as a (project) engineer in chemical, metallurgical, or machine construction environments.
• Strong technical insight with the ability to read and design P&IDs.
Non-Technical Competencies
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
• Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and safety awareness.
• Excellent communication skills and hands-on approach.
• Fluent in Dutch (mandatory); other languages are an asset.
Certifications
• VCA certification required (or willingness to obtain).
