For a long-term engagement, we are looking for a Senior Java Full-Stack Developer to join a client-facing team driving application modernisation and agile ways of working. /p pThis role goes beyond development, you will play a key part in challenging legacy approaches, introducing modern engineering practices, and helping teams evolve both technically and culturally. /p h3Logistics /h3 ul liRole: Freelance Senior Java Full-Stack Developer /li liContract: Long-term (12+ months) /li liLanguages: French or Dutch English (French-speaking team environment) /li liStart Date: Start of May /li /ul h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liDesign, develop, and maintain modern applications using Java and Spring Boot /li liContribute to both new builds and the evolution of existing platforms /li liWork across the full stack, including Angular-based frontends /li liLead or mentor a small team of developers (3-4 people) /li liChallenge existing technical approaches and propose improved solutions /li liDrive adoption of agile, DevOps, and value-focused development practices /li liCollaborate closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams /li liEnsure high code quality through testing, CI/CD, and best practices /li /ul h3Required Skills /h3 ul liStrong experience as a Senior Java Developer (Java 17, Spring Boot, JPA) /li liExperience with microservices and REST-based architectures /li liHands-on experience working with Kubernetes (usage, not setup) /li liSolid understanding of CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitLab) /li liExperience with DevOps / DevSecOps principles /li liFamiliarity with SQL databases and messaging systems (e.g. ActiveMQ) /li liExperience working in Agile/Scrum environments /li liStrong communication skills and ability to influence technical direction /li liExperience within the Belgian public sector (federal level strongly preferred) /li /ul h3Nice to Have /h3 ul liExperience with testing frameworks (Cucumber, Karate, Pact) /li liExposure to private cloud environments /li liExperience modernising legacy systems /li liPrevious team leadership or coaching experience /li /ul pIf you’re a senior Java developer who enjoys challenging the status quo, influencing teams, and delivering impactful solutions within complex environments, we’d be happy to discuss further. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
