Your role and responsibilities
As Continuous Improvement Facilitator, you support the logistics organisation in strengthening a structured and sustainable Continuous Improvement culture. You focus primarily on small to medium-sized improvement initiatives and Diamond projects, working closely with operational teams to analyse processes, identify root causes and implement practical, value-adding improvements.
You act as a hands-on facilitator and coach, with a strong presence on the shop floor, ensuring that improvement initiatives are embedded in daily operations and aligned with business priorities.
Your key responsibilities include:
* Supporting and coaching operational teams throughout their Continuous Improvement journey using the agreed frameworks (e.g. Leader Standard Work).
* Guiding teams in the preparation, execution and follow-up of improvement initiatives such as JIIs, RCA's and Gemba walks.
* Leading Diamond projects according to the DMAIC methodology, ensuring delivery within scope, timing and agreed objectives.
* Translating operational challenges into well-structured improvement projects with clear impact on safety, quality, delivery and cost.
* Building, facilitating and supporting cross-functional project teams and ensuring stakeholder engagement.
* Organising and facilitating workshops on topics such as Leader Standard Work, problem-solving tools (5x Why, 5W1H, Fishbone, time measurements) and best practice sharing.
* Collecting, analysing and interpreting operational data to identify bottom-up improvement opportunities.
* Preparing and documenting business cases for Continuous Improvement initiatives to ensure correct registration and follow-up.
* Actively managing stakeholders across logistics, SHE, CX and supporting departments, and dealing constructively with resistance to change.
* Continuously developing your expertise in Continuous Improvement, Lean, Operational Excellence and logistics.
You report to the Continuous Improvement Expert of the department/region and work closely with logistics engineers and operational stakeholders.
Your profile
* You have at least 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a logistics or operational environment.
* You preferably have experience with process improvement, problem solving and project-based work.
* Having an understanding of Lean principles and Continuous Improvement methodologies is a plus.
* You are hands-on, pragmatic and comfortable working in an operational environment.
* You communicate easily at different levels and can adapt your approach to diverse stakeholder profiles.
* You are proactive, assertive and able to deal constructively with resistance and change.
* You are able to listen actively, ask the right questions and guide teams towards sustainable solutions.
* Leadership experience is not required; maturity, credibility and facilitation skills are key.
* You are fluent in Dutch, French and English.
* Your motivation, mindset and affinity with logistics are more important than your formal education.
Our offer
* A full-time position in an international and growing company.
