PpIn order to strengthen our Degroof Petercam Asset Management Team, we are currently looking for a Senior Legal Counsel. /p h3In This Role You Will /h3 ul liSupport the Head of Legal in steering and managing the Legal department, coaching and supervising more junior colleagues. /li liSupport Legal team in the implementation of regulatory projects in the field of asset management (ESG, MiFID, UCITS, AIFM, RIS, DORA, outsourcing, marketing rules and regulations, etc.). /li liSupport the pan‑European distribution of investment funds and more in general all international activities of DPAM. /li liReview, negotiate contracts with multiple funds’ and management company’s service providers and with institutional clients. /li liMaintain good relationships with regulatory authorities (FSMA) and represent the company at the Belgian Asset Management Association (BEAMA). /li liMonitor the regulatory and legislative evolution with a focus on asset management related topics. This role involves monitoring, analyzing, and communicating regulatory developments that may impact the business, and supporting the implementation of necessary compliance measures. /li liEnsure that legal opportunities and needs are effectively identified, anticipated, assessed and managed in a business-oriented manner in line with local laws, regulations and best professional practices. /li liYou will report to the Head of Legal of Degroof Petercam Asset Management. /li /ul h3Your profile /h3 ul liBelgian Master in Law. /li liSenior Legal Counsel with at least 6 years of experience as a lawyer familiar with asset management laws or in a similar position in the banking finance industry. Additional in‑house experience is a plus. /li liFluent in French and English, with a least a passive knowledge of Dutch. /li liHighly motivated and able to integrate quickly in a new environment. /li liAble to work autonomously and to steer a small team. /li liSolution oriented, organized and pro‑active. /li liAnalytical thinker with sound business acumen, objectivity and accountability. /li liAbility to translate complex theoretical principles towards the practical implications for the asset management business. /li liAbility of building up good interpersonal relationship and working in close partnership with the people in the business. /li /ul h3Our offer /h3 pFor more than 150 years, Degroof Petercam has been a reference investment house.
