Job Description – Project Leader Substations (East & West Flanders)

Role Overview
As a Project Leader Substations, you are responsible for the full lifecycle management of high-voltage electrical infrastructure projects — from initial concept and design through execution, commissioning, and administrative closure. You ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and according to technical and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead projects from definition, feasibility study, and preliminary design through implementation and commissioning.
* Develop technical studies, preliminary designs, cost estimates, and detailed project planning.
* Manage project budgets, timelines, resources, and reporting to management.
* Prepare tender dossiers and participate in contractor/supplier selection and procurement processes.
* Coordinate on-site works in collaboration with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders (Elia Group entities).
* Ensure compliance with high-voltage technical standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
* Act autonomously while reporting to the Manager.
Requirements
* Master's degree in Civil Engineering or Industrial Engineering (Electrical Engineering or Electromechanics) – mandatory.
* Experience in project management (entry-level profiles also considered).
* Knowledge of high-voltage systems and substations.
* Strong organizational skills and sense of responsibility.
* Assertive, customer-oriented communicator with strong team spirit.
* Excellent Dutch language skills (French is a plus).
