Dornan are currently recruiting for a Project Director to work on a Hyperscale Data Centre project in Belgium.
This exciting new role will oversee construction on a hyperscale Data Centre and will report to the Business Unit Director.
About you.
1. 10-15 years’ experience in senior construction positions
2. High project value experience (€100M+), ideally having worked on Hyperscale Data Centres
3. Qualified in Electrical or other Construction discipline
4. Excellent stakeholder management and people management skills
About the role
5. Develop business plan, cost control system, cash flow and billable schedules for the project
6. Produce procurement plan, drawing / design plan, construction programme, s-curve and histogram.
7. Liaise with client and design team on procurement and engineering issues.
8. Develop project safety and quality plans.
9. Mobilize sub-contractors and labor in accordance with business plan.
10. Mobilize site establishment.
11. Development Project measure prior to commencement of Construction in line with the agreed project programme
12. Ensure projects team familiarity with the Projects contract requirements (JCT or NEC etc.)
13. Agree a training plan for staff and operatives particular to your site in conjunction with the Operations Director of the project.
14. Management of your site team in conjunction with the project managers
15. Effective day to day running of site activities, including delivery within time constraints, cost, programme, materials, engineering, quality and safety.
16. Attend meetings with client and hold weekly progress meetings with sub-contractors and ensure that safety and training are discussed.
17. Hold monthly team meetings to discuss project progress against milestones
18. Ensure compliance with all relevant technical aspects within construction industry standards and local authorities requirements if applicable
19. Manage labor and subcontractors ensuring compliance for installation in accordance with the projects specification and contract documentation
20. Ensure that all health, safety and welfare obligations associated with the project delivery are met.
21. Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
22. Ensure testing and commissioning is carried out in accordance with the Quality Plan and projects specific requirements.
23. Prepare final account with the commercial team, submit and agree with client in line with company objective.
24. Maintain contact with client for warranty period and thereafter when retention monies are collected.
25. Undertake a lessons learnt review on the project and present these findings to the Operations Directors
26. Post contract completion i.e. clearing site/archiving/financial & practical review/installed drawings and manuals/secure disposal of confidential information and systems
