About Technology At our site in Hoboken, we are investing heavily to meet changing processes and legislation. Our Technology department, with its 90 enthusiastic employees, is the driving force behind these projects. We support the various production departments with technical advice and follow the entire cycle of these projects; from feasibility, through design and realization, to start-up. We distinguish ourselves by focusing on ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning from each other.
Primary Tasks and responsibilities
* Designing the installation, processing all input from stakeholders to develop a concept into detailed plans. Sometimes, you will also manage external engineering firms.
* Conducting technical discussions with suppliers (preparing technical specifications, price inquiries, orders, and tracking deliveries).
* Estimating costs and creating a schedule in consultation with the project manager, and monitoring these during execution.
* Coordinating execution works and general site activities. Keeping and resolving a punch list until the project is fully completed.
* Assisting during the start-up of the installation.
* Ensuring that the scope, budget, and timing are maintained.
Technical profile requirements
* Holds at least a bachelor's degree with a specialization in electromechanics or mechanical engineering.
* Has knowledge of machines from a maintenance or design perspective, and also has a basic understanding of pumps, piping, and thermodynamics.
* Minimum 10 yrs relevant experience in a similar position
* Can work with 2D or 3D drawing packages to design smaller installations themselves.
* Has experience writing tenders
Non-Technical profile requirements
* Can work independently and prioritize tasks.
* Is assertive, communicative, and result-oriented.
* Fluent in Dutch
* Good knowledge of English
