As a shareholder in Normandy Hadrontherapy, the EFINOR Group is participating alongside the Belgian company IBA in the construction and installation of an innovative cyclotron gas pedal. The aim of this project is to create the first cyclotron to accelerate different particles: a world first for more precise treatment of certain cancers.
In this context, EFINOR INGENIERIE & PROCESS is recruiting a Biomedical Requirements & Risks Engineer to support the development of this promising medical equipment.
As an Engineer, your main tasks will be to:
- Get to know the manufacturer's products, including the Cyclotron C400 IONS,
- Create and write Risk Analyses, specification documents and explicit information based on IBA's and NHa's own technical knowledge,
- Create and organize document reviews in Requirements & Risks, modify procedures in Quality,
- Prepare progress reports, intra-project meetings and project progress reports,
- Act as the interface for Requirements & Risks management and expertise within the project on the NHa side, and take part in associated Workshops and Meetings.
With a Bac+5 generalist degree in Biomedical or Biotechnology (Institut Supérieur des Biosciences de Paris, Institut Supérieur d'Ingénieurs de Franche-Comté - Génie Biomédical, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, etc.), you are a beginner or have some initial experience that will enable you to successfully carry out the tasks entrusted to you.
You have a strong technical aptitude (robotics, particle physics, electronics, cryogenics, radioactivity), you are familiar with the relevant standards (IEC 60601-1, ISO 14971...), you are a self-starter, you are rigorously organized and have good interpersonal skills.
Your written and spoken English is at CEFR B2 level, and your ability to write accurately and succinctly is an invaluable asset.

The Biomedical Requirements & Risks Engineer position is a full-time, open-ended position based in Louvain-La-Neuve, Belgium, at IBA. Occasional travel to Caen is possible.
Your salary will be offered according to your qualifications and experience.
