The project:
Our client in the insurance sector is looking for a Functional Designer IS Life Domain Common to join their team.
Main objectives:
* Be in charge of translating business requirements into structured IT solutions while keeping a functional approach.
* Help translating functional designs into well-tailored technical designs.
* Prepare functional integration test cases based on the requirements
* Test the product before delivery to the users
* Analyse and/or propose potential corrective actions to be taken.
* Coordinate technical designers and programmers during implementation of functionalities
* Work closely with the business to ensure the final solution fits their needs.
* Actively support the Project leaders in the project implementation
Is this you?
* Experience with Application Development of Administrative systems in a large IT department
* Web based Client/Server systems with Microfocus back-end (Cobol / SQL Server)
* Able to capture main topics in discussions with technical IT people
* Strong understanding of source code Cobol and SQL databases
* Mastering of MS-office tools
* Data modelling experience
* Batch process and scheduling experience
* Cobol/SQL programming experience
* .NET; SQL Server
* Functional analysis
* IT solution design on large scale projects
* Organised and structured
* Agile & Waterfall project methodology
* Insurance or banking domain
* Life Insurance
