Job Description
As an expert in Machine Learning Engineering, you will grow both the size and professional maturity of our Data team. You will shape the future of data strategy at Sia, work on client projects, and build Sia AI solutions with our Dutch data scientists, French data engineering team, and other global units.
Responsibilities
Lead an internal team to develop AI products.
Work in a multidisciplinary team on client projects as a subject‑matter expert.
Make architectural and design decisions for cloud environments.
Build production‑level ML/AI solutions with robust software engineering practices.
Guide Data Scientists to scale models into production through parallelization, optimization, tuning, testing, and wrapping.
Deliver trainings, lead internal meetings, and organize external events.
Participate in team meetings and workshops with clients.
Write blog articles, present at conferences, and issue press releases on relevant topics.

Qualifications
MSc‑level education in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
2–4 years of experience building production‑quality ML/Deep Learning pipelines and models.
Strong understanding of ML fundamentals and expertise in a domain such as Computer Vision, Deep Learning, or NLP.
Expert Python coding skills and proficiency in at least one of Scala, C++, or Java.
Hands‑on experience with SQL, PostgreSQL, and database management.
Experience with cloud infrastructures (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Familiarity with Unix command line, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices.
Experience with big‑data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Databricks).
Coaching or mentoring experience with other engineers.
Prior management‑consulting experience is a strong plus.
Willingness to travel and work with local and international clients.
Fluent in spoken and written English; strong proficiency in Dutch is desirable.
