Please check the Job Description Once :-Job Title:- Data Team LeadLocation:- Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid)Language:- English, French Duration:- As soon as possible - 31/12/2025Governance & ComplianceDefine and maintain a clear governance around the use of data (processes, standards, documentation, best practices).Ensure compliance with internal rules and external regulations (GDPR, security, traceability).Participation in the development and implementation of data catalogs (master data management, metadata, ats, etc.)Participation in the implementation of access control and auditing policies for data flows.Operations & MonitoringSupervise the day-to-day operation of data exchange platforms (API, event streaming, ODS, etc.).Continuously monitor and improve monitoring, alerting and operational reporting systems. (monitoring, capacity management, demand management, etc.)Implement data flows through the platforms provided, according to the needs provided by the technical teams.Identify and correct shortcomings in existing tools (logs, observability, SLA/SLO).Manage incidents and ensure communication with stakeholders.Organization & team managementIdentify and define the profiles and skills necessary for the operationalization of data flows (data engineers, data stewarts, monitoring experts, etc.).Recruit, and manage the team in charge of operations and governance.Establish a culture of continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.Perform Resources reporting to management. (capacity, evaluation cycles, ...)Carry out project reporting to management (progress, budget consumption, evolution of platform costs, etc.)Collaboration & Strategic AlignmentWork jointly with development teams to anticipate operations and support needs.Be the privileged interface between IT teams, business lines (reporting, data science, management), and "data" customers.Collect, analyze and prioritize needs in terms of reliability, auditability and performance of data exchanges.Desired profileEducation & ExperienceProven experience (5+ years) in the operation or governance of complex data systems (API management, streaming, ETL/ELT, data lake/warehouse, ODS).Managerial experience or technical team coordination.Technical skillsKnowledge of data integration and exchange technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ, API Gateway, relational databases and NoSQL, etc.).Mastery of monitoring practices (observability, logging, metrics, traces).Sensitivity to security and compliance issues (IAM, audit, GDPR, etc.).Transversal skillsLeadership and ability to unite a team around a common mission.Excellent communication, extension and coordination skills.Results orientation and sense of priorities.Key objectives of the positionEstablish clear and documented operational governance for all data exchanges.Improve the reliability and transparency of flows via appropriate monitoring and audit tools.Establish and lead a team dedicated to the exploitation and operationalization of data processing.Ensure compliance, security, and quality of data exchanges for all stakeholders.
