We're looking for an experienced Product Owner to join one of our client's teams and take a key role in the launch and development of an automation initiative. This role sits within a complex domain related to income replacement processes and is embedded in a mature Agile environment where business impact, collaboration and long-term value creation are central.
The Role
As Product Owner, you act as the strategic and functional owner of the product. You define and communicate a clear product vision, ensure alignment with the broader domain roadmap, and serve as the main point of contact for stakeholders. You will work closely with two Agile teams and collaborate intensively with Scrum Masters, business experts, functional specialists and IT colleagues to deliver meaningful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Define, maintain and communicate a clear product vision aligned with domain objectives
* Ensure consistency between the product roadmap and the wider domain roadmap
* Own and manage the product scope, priorities and backlog
* Translate business needs into clear, feasible and value-driven requirements
* Analyse the current (AS-IS) situation and help shape the future (TO-BE) state
* Act as the central stakeholder interface and coordinate with other Product Owners
* Monitor delivery timelines, budget constraints and overall progress
* Maintain a holistic view of applications within the domain
* Drive value creation, continuous improvement and pragmatic decision-making
The Ideal Candidate
* Experience in mutual insurance sector
* Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt your message to different audiences
* Excellent listening, analytical and synthesis capabilities
* Comfortable making tactical decisions and managing shifting priorities
* A collaborative team player who can also work independently
* Proactive, results-oriented, resilient and comfortable in complex environments
* Solid understanding of Agile ways of working and IT terminology
* Experience or affinity with income replacement or social security domains is a plus, with willingness to build domain knowledge quickly
* Language requirements: fluent in Dutch and French, with a good command of the other language; English required for documentation and collaboration
