Job Description
* Translate energy regulations into practical advice for business units
* Draft, review, and negotiate commercial and energy‑related contracts
* Support renewable energy projects: land tenure, collaboration agreements, tenders, permits
* Advise on urban planning, real estate, environmental, energy, and commercial law
* Ensure compliance for grid‑related projects in Belgium
* Assist with behind‑the‑meter projects (solar, battery storage, EV charging)
* Coordinate notarization processes and manage legal documentation
* Monitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance
* Prepare internal legal documents and board presentations
* Support legal audits, contract management, and dispute resolution
The Successful Applicant
* Belgian Master's degree in Law
* 3 to 8 years of experience in urban planning, environmental, energy, or commercial law
* Experience in a law firm or energy company legal department
* Fluency in Dutch or French, with strong English skills
* Proactive, detail‑oriented, and solution‑focused mindset
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain clear oversight
* Strong interpersonal and diplomatic skills
* High integrity and collaborative approach
* Analytical thinker with ability to handle complex issues
