About the Role
As a Technical Sales Specialist Microbiology, you are responsible for driving sales growth within our microbiology portfolio in your assigned region or market segment. You actively develop new business while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing customers.
Thanks to your technical knowledge, you act as a trusted advisor and provide tailored solutions that meet customer needs.
As a Technical Sales Specialist Microbiology, you will play a key role in expanding our market presence and strengthening customer relationships. You combine technical expertise with commercial drive and know how to turn opportunities into long-term partnerships.
Your Profile
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Microbiology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
* Strong interest in sales and business development.
* Experience in a technical sales role within Life Sciences or a Laboratory environment is an advantage.
* Solid knowledge of microbiological lab principles, applications and industry standards
* Knowledge of relevant microbiology regulations (ISO standards, GMP, FDA) is a plus.
* Commercially driven, proactive, and results-oriented.
* Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
* Ability to translate complex technical information into clear commercial value.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot)
* Willingness to travel up to 60% to 70%
Key Responsibilities
Product Expertise
* Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of our microbiology products and services.
* Identify commercial opportunities and convert them into sales results.
Commercial Support
* Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing customers.
* Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within the microbiology portfolio.
Technical Sales Support
* Advise customers on microbiological products and applications.
* Prepare and follow up on quotations in collaboration with sales team.
* Deliver product demonstrations, technical presentations, and customer workshops.
Market and Competitive Strategy
* Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities.
* Identify emerging needs and contribute to portfolio development.
Internal Collaboration
* Work closely with R&D, Marketing, Operations, and Life Sciences teams.
* Contribute to product launches and commercial campaigns.
