Senior Platform Engineering Lead (PERM role)

What You’ll Do
As a Senior Platform Engineering Lead, you’ll take ownership of our platform engineering and DevSecOps strategy across the organization. You’ll work with a team of 10+ platform engineers, DevOps engineers, and SREs to design and build enterprise-grade platforms that enable teams to deliver software securely and efficiently while meeting strict compliance and security standards.
Your day-to-day will include:
* Team Leadership: Mentor and guide a team of platform engineers and SREs, helping them grow their skills and deliver high-quality platform solutions
* Platform Strategy: Shape how we build and operate our internal developer platform, ensuring it aligns with business goals and regulatory requirements
* Design & Build: Create enterprise-grade DevSecOps platforms including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and secure software delivery toolchains
* Security Focus: Implement zero-trust security principles, secrets management, and identity/access control frameworks across all platform layers
* Infrastructure Excellence: Build and operate container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes) with hardened configurations suitable for classified workloads
* Stakeholder Management: Present platform strategies and decisions to executives and key stakeholders, explaining technical concepts in business terms
* Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with security, compliance, and development teams to solve complex problems and build consensus
* Governance & Standards: Establish platform governance frameworks, architectural standards, and operational best practices for regulated environments
* Modern Practices: Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), immutable infrastructure, and policy-as-code approaches to ensure consistency and auditability
* Quality Assurance: Support security assessments and audits, ensuring platforms meet regulatory and compliance standards
* Continuous Learning: Coach and develop team members, conduct technical reviews, and foster a culture of continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
* Deep expertise in platform engineering and DevSecOps platform design
* Proven experience leading platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE teams of 8-15 people on complex, enterprise-scale projects
* Extensive hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP), including secure landing zones and compliance frameworks
* Expert-level knowledge of CI/CD platforms: GitLab, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins
* Strong expertise with Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, Bicep, or CloudFormation
* Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
* Understanding of security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS benchmarks) and compliance requirements
* Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to C-level executives and non-technical audiences
* Track record of successfully delivering enterprise platforms in regulated industries
* Experience with enterprise-grade monitoring and observability solutions
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to address complex technical challenges
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
* Professional-level English communication skills

* Experience with Dynatrace or similar advanced monitoring tools
* Background in management consulting
* Extensive experience in highly regulated industries (finance, healthcare, government)
* Experience working with multiple data classification levels and compartmentalized security requirements
