Construction Manager

* You lead and supervise all on-site construction activities, ensuring execution according to design, schedule, and safety standards.
* You coordinate contractors and manage interfaces between civil, mechanical, electrical, and piping disciplines.
* You ensure compliance with QEHS standards, including conducting audits and managing permits.
* You monitor progress and budget, tracking costs and managing change orders.
* You oversee quality assurance, inspections, and compliance with specifications and ISO standards.
* You communicate regularly with Engineering, Project Director, and key stakeholders.
* You collaborate with discipline leads, commissioning teams, and site operations.
What are we looking for?
* You hold a
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Construction Engineering
.
* You have at least
10 years of experience
in industrial construction.
* You possess a minimum of
5 years of experience
in chemical or petrochemical projects.
* You have a proven track record managing projects valued at > €100M.
* You demonstrate a strong understanding of construction management principles.
* You are familiar with Belgian building codes, Seveso directives, and EU safety standards.
* You are proficient in project planning tools such as
Primavera P6
and MS Project.
* You possess strong leadership and team coordination skills.
* You exhibit excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
* You are an effective communicator across all levels.
* You are proactive, solution-oriented, and results-driven.
* You have a direct and assertive communication style.
* You hold a
VCA-VOL certification
.
* You comply with Umicore QEHS standards and ISO norms.
* You possess experience with EPCM methodologies.
* You are fluent in
Dutch
and
English
