Position Summary
The Manager Operations organizes, optimizes and continually improves the operational, production and maintenance activities and taking into account the Sibelco Values and policies to execute the production plan. The Manager Operations has to drive his/her operational organization in order to maintain and develop the processing plants.
Responsibilities
1. Zero Harm approach to operational safety.
2. First-class service to the customer.
3. Best competitive cost position (cost reduction, increase site yield, better value- products, better processes, product management and production scheduling).
4. Highest standard of the industry in term of processes, quality, environment and legal obligation respect and health and safety.
5. Continuity in time of the processing activities and integrated planning process.
6. Development of talent, competence and career progression of staff within the area.
7. Implementation of the Operation Excellence principles and tools.
8. Maintain environmental compliance according to regulatory permits.
Qualifications
9. Bachelor’s degree with a focus in business, mining, engineering, manufacturing or related field preferred.
10. Extensive experience in a leadership role in mineral industry or related industry preferred.
11. Wastewater certification preferred.
12. Experience with quality systems is preferred.
13. Experience in a previous people-leading role preferred.
14. Proficient in English. Other languages are an asset.
