Overview
We are seeking an experienced DMPK specialist with a strong background in small molecule drug discovery to guide pre-clinical projects and support decision-making from early discovery through to clinical development. The ideal candidate will act as the internal Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing strategic DMPK leadership to discovery teams and overseeing outsourced studies with external partners and CROs.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert DMPK guidance to multidisciplinary discovery teams, with a focus on small molecule programs.
* Lead DMPK strategy from early discovery through pre-clinical development; clinical experience is a strong advantage.
* Support due diligence activities, including assessment of external data packages and evaluation of potential partners.
* Oversee and manage outsourced DMPK studies conducted with CROs and external providers.
* Design, interpret and communicate DMPK data to internal project teams, enabling informed decision-making and project advancement.
* Establish relevant DMPK metrics and deliverables for project milestones.
* Act as the internal DMPK SME, providing training and scientific input across the organisation.
Essential Requirements
* Minimum 5+ years of industry experience in DMPK, with a strong track record in small molecule drug discovery.
* Significant experience supporting pre-clinical discovery programs.
* Proven ability to guide discovery project teams and influence program strategy.
* Hands-on experience with data interpretation, study design, and CRO management.
* Strong analytical capabilities and decision-making skills.
Desirable Qualifications
* Antibody / biologics experience is an advantage.
* PhD in a relevant scientific discipline is a plus, but not required.
