Company and ProgramLeadership Responsible for the strategic and operational leadershipof Swift's global information security program leading globalsecurity and risk mitigation strategies. 1. Drive the evolution ofthe global security function towards a service organization(identify customers and develop a service catalogue with properservice level management, capacity management, cost management,etc.) 2. Provide support to help the organization move towards arisk-based approach where risks, controls and costs are managed asinterrelated dimensions to help drive "Operational readiness,resilience and efficiency" investments. 3. Improve employeeexperience and overall engagement and retention by furtherdeveloping areas such as functional identity, upskilling theworkforce, strengthening the feedback culture, uplifting leadershipskills and empowerment of employees. 4. Create more securityownership across the organization to help spread accountability onrisks and controls and go beyond changing behavior by changingattitudes and perceptions of security. 5. Continue to transitionthe cyber program to a risk-based organization that prioritizessecurity controls and delivers value to the organization (quarterlydefined priorities, sprint objectives, value monitoring, etc.). 6.Enable the secure adoption of Cloud Services and AI (people,process and technology perspectives) and support the transition toa first line of defense and risk-based approach from securityperspective in an agile environment, adopting market practiceswhere relevant. 7. Provide guidance and counsel to the CTO and keymembers of leadership team and the Board, working closely withsenior executives, industry leaders, and the overall community indefining objectives for information security, while buildingrelationships and goodwill. 8. Work with the leadership team tooversee the secure operations of regional and business unitsecurity functions. 9. Promote collaborative, empowered workingenvironments across groups, removing barriers and realizingpossibilities. 10. Support the organization's information securitygovernance processes and build/lead the GS team as aligned to theglobal information security program and project priorities. 11.Lead information security planning processes to establish aninclusive and comprehensive information security program in supportof technology, research, and administrative information systems andtechnology. 12. Align annual and long-range security and compliancegoals. Work with the CTO to define security strategies, metrics,reporting mechanisms and program services, and create maturitymodels and a roadmap for continual program improvements. 13. Stayabreast of information security issues and regulatory changesaffecting the financial community, participate in policy andpractice discussions, and communicate to teams on a regular basis.Engage in professional development to maintain continual growth inprofessional skills and knowledge essential to the position. 14.Develop the GS management team members and implement professionaldevelopment plans with members of the team. 15. Assist the CTO inrepresenting Swift's committees and boards associated with global,national and regional consortiums and collaborations. 16. Performspecial projects and other duties as assigned. Policy, Complianceand Audit 1. Support the development and implementation ofeffective and reasonable policies and practices to secure protectedand sensitive data and ensure information security and compliancewith relevant legislation and legal interpretation. 2. Lead effortsto internally assess, evaluate and make recommendations tomanagement regarding the adequacy of the security controls forSwift's information and technology systems. 3. Coordinate and trackall information technology and security related audits includingscope of audits, teams involved, timelines, auditing agencies andoutcomes. 4. Work with the leadership team to build cohesivesecurity and compliance programs for Swift to effectively addressglobal, national and local statutory and regulatory requirements.Outreach, Education and Training 1. Work closely with leadershipteam and other IT leaders and technical experts across the companyand industry on a wide variety of security issues that require anin-depth understanding of the security environment in their units.2. Support education and awareness programs and advise operatingunits at all levels on security issues, best practices, andvulnerabilities. 3. Pursue employee security initiatives to addressunique needs in protecting against identity theft, mobile/socialmedia security and online reputation program. Security Operations,Risk Management and Incident Response 1. Ensure efficacy ofservices for cyber security monitoring, response, assessment,testing, and remediation for the Swift enterprise to protect thebrand, secure proprietary data, and secure operations whileminimizing business impact and disruption that may occur due tocybersecurity incidents. 2. Keep abreast of security incidents andact as primary control point during potential information securityincidents. 3. Develop, implement and administer technical securitystandards, as well as a suite of security services and tools toaddress and mitigate security risk. 4. Provide leadership,direction and guidance in assessing and evaluating informationsecurity risks and monitor compliance with security standards andappropriate policies. 5. Examine impacts of new technologies onSwift's overall information security posture. Establish processesto review implementation of new technologies to ensure securitycompliance. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS This is acritical role that requires a strategic, business-focused cybersecurity professional with a track record in the delivery ofleading-edge security approaches within a mission critical and hightransaction volume environment. In addition to broad technologycompetence and highly current security experience, the successfulcandidate will need exceptional communication and leadership skillswith the ability to engage with and influence the culture andperception of business leaders internal to the organization as wellas external constituencies. Additional qualifications include: 1.15 years+ of relevant work experience in the cyber security fieldand/or technology risk management. 2. University degree isrequired, with master’s degree in computer science, technology,engineering, cyber security, related field or MBA a plus. 3.Demonstrate extensive knowledge of network information, securityconcepts, principles and standards and their application in anenterprise environment, preferably for a global network ofprofessional services firms. 4. Experience in project managementand development environments is an asset. 5. Demonstrate thoughtleader level knowledge and proven record of success directingefforts in driving execution of strategic priorities. 6. Familiarwith frameworks and methodologies such as ITIL, Agile, NIST, CISSP,ISO27000, PCIDSS. 7. Experience in managing a highly complex andglobal security function, preferably serving as a CSO or second incommand or equivalent role with a track record of innovation. 8.Solid experience in tackling challenges linked to risk-basedapproach (adoption of cloud and AI a plus), preferably to theFinancial Community. 9. Ability to drive virtual technical teams inan agile multicultural environments and proven experience toprovide coaching and development for others to maximize theirpotential. 10. Possess a fundamental technology heritage that willgarner the respect of security technologists as well as top leadersand technologists within the financial industry. 11. Experience inbusiness continuity planning, auditing, compliance and riskmanagement as well as contract negotiation and vendor management.12. A track record of assessing threat and vulnerability risks froma business as well as technical perspective and the ability todevelop and champion appropriate effective and timely securityarchitectures and solutions that support our business. 13.Experience in leading a significant security team organizationwithin the financial services industry or equivalent criticalinfrastructure environment and with an established network ofindustry and public sector relationships. 14. Personal drive,passion and enthusiasm to both understand and successfully navigatea company undergoing meaningful transformation in technology. 15.Proven track record of improving performance and driving highperformance in their teams. 16. Ability to manage, develop andretain a highly technical and diverse global organization. 17. Ableto develop effective internal and external relationships acrossdivisional boundaries and demonstrated ability to make andinfluence decision making within a diverse corporate culture. 18.Track record of representing the interests of the company inexternal settings and communicating with governments and consumers.19. Strong familiarity with regulatory environments, as well asability to communicate with global regulators. 20. Experiencerecruiting, building and leading world class information securityteams. 21.
