As an Industrial IT Systems Engineer, you play a central role in managing and improving our ISA‑95 Level 1 & 2 operational technology (OT) landscape across the Ghent sites. You ensure that existing OT applications remain stable, secure, and compliant while also supporting the introduction and integration of new systems into daily operations. Working closely with engineering, IT, QA, cybersecurity, and external vendors, you help deliver a reliable, future‑proof and continuously improving OT environment. You combine strong technical insight with structured execution and a hands‑on approach when needed. Tasks and Authorizations Oversee and support key industrial IT applications to ensure stable, compliant, and reliable operations. Resolve system issues and drive improvements that enhance system performance and availability. Participate in a rotating weekend on‑call service to help safeguard system continuity. Solid grasp of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, segmentation, firewalls). Ability to work with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) to automate routine tasks. The skills below are not mandatory but provide a strong advantage in this role. Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry (GxP, GAMP, qualification, etc.) Knowledge of particle monitoring platforms —ideally LMS Pharma (SE Geoscada) Understanding of Windows Server–based applications, including basic troubleshooting and system administration.
