Function
For our Business Development department located in Huizingen (Flemish Brabant), we are looking for our new colleague
APPLICATION TECHNICIAN (f/m/x)
MISSION & MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting directly to the Technical Director, you will be settled mainly in our headquarter in Huizingen, you will coordinate, execute and report on product application tests, support product launches.
External Product Testing
* Organize and execute application tests
* Contact with official testing and certification bodies (e.g. BBRI, Warrington, CSTB).
* Follow up on reporting, review reports, and share outcomes on the Technical Exchange Platform.
Internal Product Application Testing
* Organize, coordinate and execute internal product application testing for product development purposes and knowledge build-up.
* Serve as contact person for concerned departments during testing.
* Follow up reporting, review internal reports
Product Launch Support
* Creation of technical documents (Datasheets, Application Guidelines, Presentations, Mock-ups, Samples,…).
* Organize and execute European new product field trials: coordinate materials, attend trials, collect feedback, summarize results.
Cross-Departmental Support
* Provide support to colleagues and other departments in case of emergencies, meetings, events, or trainings.
Compliance:
* Adhere to the Company's compliance obligations, policies, processes, and procedures.
* Report compliance concerns, issues, and failures.
* Participate in training as required.
Profile
YOUR PROFILE & SKILLS
* Degree in construction (bachelor degree) or equivalent experience.
* 5 years of proven professional background in the construction industry, ideally with knowledge of roofing and waterproofing systems.
* Willingness and ability to work manually to execute application tests.
* Get analytical and writing skills, be able to go straight to the point, structured and openminded.
* Strong problem-solving mindset: pragmatic, resourceful, and hands-on.
* A natural team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills that can also work autonomously.
* Flexibility to travel regularly to our Perwez plant, construction sites in Belgium and abroad. (Italy, France, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway...)
* Good knowledge of the Office suite
* Basic knowledge of Autocad or similar is a plus
