Curafyt is a fast-growing Belgian scale-up in animal health, developing science-backed natural supplements for horses and dogs. We are already trusted by 800+ veterinarians and 30,000+ animal caretakers across Belgium, the Netherlands, and France. The Netherlands is a key market in our next growth phase, so we are looking for motivated salespeople who love big challenges.

THE ROLE

As a Sales Representative for the Netherlands, you will be the face of Curafyt on the ground, building and nurturing relationships with veterinarians, equine physiotherapists and stable owners across the country. You'll split your time between winning new accounts and (over time) growing existing ones, spending most of your week on the road visiting clients at their practices and yards.

This is a high-ownership, field-based role with a clear mission: put Curafyt on the map in the Netherlands. You won't be following a rigid script: you'll have the autonomy to build your own territory, establish your own rhythms, and make a direct commercial impact in one of Europe's largest equine markets. You will be supported by Dutch marketing materials, online advertisements in the Netherlands promoting our products, and you will receive training from our Dutch-speaking team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development & Prospecting

* Actively prospect and acquire new clients across the Dutch equine and veterinary channel, including veterinary practices, equine physiotherapists and well-run stables
* Build a strong, structured pipeline and manage it from first contact through to close
* Represent Curafyt at equine trade fairs, industry events, and sector conferences across the Netherlands
* Identify and develop relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the Dutch equine and veterinary community

Account Management

* Manage and grow a portfolio of Dutch accounts (veterinarians and stables), ensuring high satisfaction, retention, and upsell opportunities
* Deliver tailored commercial and scientific product advice to clients and prospects based on their specific needs and animal profiles
* Support product launches and marketing campaigns with on-the-ground activation in your territory
* Provide structured field feedback to the marketing and product teams on client needs, competitor activity, and market trends

Reporting & Collaboration

* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, pipeline status, and sales activity in CRM.
* Report regularly on territory performance, including revenue, new accounts, and key commercial metrics
* Collaborate closely with your manager and the Belgian-based team on commercial strategy, product training, and cross-market initiatives

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Must-haves

* Proven B2B sales experience, ideally in animal health, veterinary, nutrition, pharmaceutical, or a related life sciences field
* Comfortable and confident in a field-based role. You enjoy being on the road and thrive building face-to-face relationships
* Strong hunter mentality with a target-driven personality. You enjoy taking on new challenges and you are persistent to get the job done (you don't deliver half work)
* Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset: you are able to manage your own territory and time without close supervision
* You are organized and have an eye for detail. You keep clean records of your work and follow-up closely on customer requests.
* Native Dutch speaker with sufficient working proficiency in English.
* Based in Netherlands, with a valid driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across your territory
* Genuine passion for horses, dogs, or animal health in general

Nice to Have

* Direct experience in the equine sector — whether professionally (e.g. equine vet, nutritionist, yard manager) or personally (e.g. rider, owner)
* An existing network of veterinarians, equine professionals, or animal health practitioners in the Netherlands
* Scientific or paramedical background (veterinary, nutrition, biology, or similar)
* Experience working for a scale-up, start-up, or fast-growing SME
* Digital skills and skills with Odoo ERP

* Competitive base salary commensurate with experience
* Performance-based bonus tied directly to your sales results
* Transportation fee (to compensate for private car usage)
* Home office setup: No requirement to travel to Belgium for day-to-day work

We keep our process fast and transparent. Typically 2–3 weeks from first call to offer:

* Interview with the Head of Sales — deep dive into your commercial experience and approach to the Dutch equine market
* Short practical exercise: a territory plan or sales scenario relevant to the role
* Final conversation with leadership — culture fit and mutual Q&A
