Job Title: Senior Network Test & Automation Engineer – State-of-the-Art SystemsLocation: Belgium, Antwerp
About the Role:We are partnering with a global technology organisation developing state-of-the-art embedded systems. We're looking for a hands-on Test & Automation Engineer who can validate complex systems, improve test processes, and ensure high-quality software delivery.
Responsibilities:Design, build, and configure lab and virtual test environmentsDevelop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts (Python mandatory)Perform manual and automated testingContribute to CI/CD pipelines, test frameworks, and tooling developmentTroubleshoot issues, reproduce defects, and collaborate with development teams to identify root causesDive into code (C/C++ or Python) when necessary to validate and solve problemsDocument test cases, results, and improvements to continuously refine testing practices
Key Skills & Experience:Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electronics, or equivalent practical experienceStrong Python skills (essential)Experience with network protocolsKnowledge of test frameworks and automation tools (Robot Framework, Jenkins, CI/CD)Experience with traffic generators (Ixia, Spirent) is a plusExposure to C/C++ software development is advantageousComfortable discussing architecture, test frameworks, and system behaviour at the whiteboard
