SENIOR FUNCTIONAL ANALYST - BRUSSELS (BELGIUM) - PERMANENT POSITION
We're currently recruiting for a Senior Functional Analyst to join the software delivery team within the digital security sector.
This role is ideal for a professional who combines strong business analysis expertise with a solid understanding of IT systems and software development processes.
You will play a key role in bridging business needs and technical delivery, ensuring that secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions are delivered.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead requirements gathering and analysis activities across complex software delivery projects.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to define, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
* Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, and process models.
* Develop and maintain process diagrams using BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation).
* Work closely with development, QA, and architecture teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly.
* Support agile delivery practices, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
* Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for process improvement within digital security solutions.
* Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements relevant to the digital security domain.
* Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Functional Analyst or Business Analyst in software delivery projects.
* Strong knowledge and practical experience with BPMN for process modelling.
* Solid background in IT and software development environments (e.g., Agile, Scrum, or hybrid methodologies).
* Ability to translate complex business requirements into structured, actionable documentation.
* Experience working on systems related to digital security, cybersecurity, identity management, or data protection is highly desirable.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
