1. Business Development Director/ Senior Manager (Brokerage Distribution Channel)

Responsibilities
1. Strategic Architecture & Platform Launch
Lead the end-to-end development of a new broker sales platform, including value propositions, digital engagement models, and optimized sales workflows.
Partner with the Channel Head to design and execute high-impact sales strategies that align with corporate KPIs and long-term business plans.
Identify and capture untapped market opportunities through innovative business initiatives that differentiate us from competitors.
2. Relationship Management & Growth
Onboard and cultivate strategic partnerships with key broker firms to drive sustainable production and expand distribution coverage.
Influence senior leadership and frontline producers at broker firms to boost activity levels and unlock business potential.
Serve as the primary liaison for assigned accounts, conducting regular performance reviews and formulating data-driven actions to hit targets.
3. Infrastructure & Compliance
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, IT, and Underwriting teams to build a robust channel infrastructure and resolve operational bottlenecks.
Ensure gold-standard compliance by conducting regular reviews of sales quality and business practices in accordance with IA requirements and internal policies.
Gather market intelligence and competitive insights to continuously refine product development and channel strategy.

The Ideal Profile
Experience & Expertise
Industry Veteran: Minimum 10 years of experience in life insurance brokerage distribution, with a proven track record in new channel or platform development.
The "Builder" Mindset: Demonstrated ability to work independently in a start-up or "greenfield" environment; you take total ownership of results.
Networker: A strong, existing network of key broker partners and a history of driving significant production through intermediaries.
Subject Matter Expert: Deep knowledge of life insurance, ILAS products, underwriting nuances, and sales compliance.
Skills & Qualifications
Education: University degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline.
Licensing: Valid IA Licenses (Papers 1, 3, and 5) are mandatory.
Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills; fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin is essential.
Digital Savvy: Proficient in MS Office and experienced with digital e-submission tools used within the broker ecosystem.

2. Business Development Senior Manager/ Manager (Brokerage Distribution Channel)
Responsibilities
1. Sales Performance & Portfolio Growth
Drive New Business: Take full ownership of an assigned broker portfolio to meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
Strategic Penetration: Identify high-potential opportunities within broker firms and implement action plans to increase both market share and average case size.
Data-Driven Insights: Monitor and analyze sales performance, preparing regular reports and identifying proactive follow-up actions to optimize channel output.
2. Relationship & Relationship Management
Partner Engagement: Build and sustain robust relationships with broker management and frontline representatives to ensure a consistent flow of business.
Product Advocacy: Act as a subject matter expert, promoting company campaigns, product launches, and value propositions through workshops and joint field visits.
Capability Building: Support broker success by providing frontline sales support, technical solutions, and training to uplift their product knowledge and selling skills.
3. Operational Excellence & Compliance
Internal Coordination: Work closely with Underwriting, Operations, and IT to resolve servicing issues and streamline the "start-up" phase of new broker processes.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all business adheres to company underwriting guidelines and regulatory standards; escalate and resolve any irregularities promptly.
Market Intelligence: Serve as a feedback loop between the market and the company, sharing insights on competitor activity and operational needs to help shape future product development.
Requirements
Industry Experience: University degree with 5–8 years of experience in Life Insurance business development (specifically within the brokerage channel).
Established Network: A strong existing network or proven track record of managing insurance broker relationships is highly preferred.
Product Knowledge: Solid understanding of life insurance and investment-linked (ILAS) products, including the nuances of broker sales processes.
Resilience: A self-motivated "go-getter" who remains composed and effective under pressure in a rapidly evolving environment.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills; fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin is required.
Technical & Regulatory: * Valid IA Licenses (Papers 1, 3, and 5) are required.
Proficient in MS Office and comfortable navigating digital e-submission platforms.
