PowerShell Automation Expert / Office Automation (OAE) Position Overview We are currently seeking a PowerShell Automation Expert to join our team in Brussels. This is not a traditional OAE position but a technical developer-level role, requiring a deep knowledge of scripting, Windows internals, and automation. Your tasks will involve critical system automation, modernization efforts related to the Windows 11 migration, and possibly hybrid Cloud/On-Prem environment projects in the medium term. Key responsibilities Review, validate, and maintain existing PowerShell scripts Maintain and update internal PowerShell modules for the team Manage script sources using Git/GitLab Administer login scripts across all user workstations Configure and manage Scheduled Tasks on Windows servers Gather and centralize data from logs, databases, and Active Directory as requested Develop custom PowerShell scripts for complex use cases such as: Mapping network drives at user session startup based on AD group membership Querying SQL Server using PowerShell Interrogating Active Directory via ADSI Collecting and parsing logs of various formats Reading WMI/CIM instrumentation layers on Windows systems Required skills and experience Expert-level PowerShell scripting Experience with Git / GitLab for source control and collaboration Strong knowledge of Windows internals: Registry, .NET framework, WMI/CIM, etc. Ability to interact programmatically with SQL Server and Active Directory Object-oriented scripting/programming principles Solid understanding of automation in enterprise environments Comfortable with log parsing, task scheduling, and module development Strong communication skills Analytical mindset with attention to detail Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment Proactive and solutions-oriented Nice to have Experience with hybrid environments (Cloud/On-Premise) Previous involvement in Windows 10 to Windows 11 migration projects Familiarity with enterprise IT ecosystems and administrative environments
