This is a newly created position in Belgium, offering the unique opportunity to build and shape EHS processes locally while collaborating with regional and international teams.
Job Description
Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHS risk programs (ergonomics, biological safety, radiation, driver safety, emergency preparedness, and more).
Ensure all EHS programs comply with Belgian legislation and internal company standards.
Act as Prevention Advisor (Niveau 2 or Niveau 3 with ongoing training toward Niveau 2).
Conduct risk assessments for office, warehouse, workshop, and hospital-based activities.
Provide EHS guidance to stakeholders across business units and functions, including remote teams.
Collaborate with external authorities (Fire Services, Health & Safety agencies, Environmental bodies) as well as internal teams.
Support EHS communication initiatives, including committee meetings, reporting, awareness campaigns, and training sessions.
Carry out EHS compliance tasks such as incident investigations, root cause analysis, and follow-up on corrective actions.
Participate in local and regional EHS audits, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
The Successful Applicant
EHS certification: Prevention Advisor Level 2 or Level 3 with motivation and training plan to reach Level 2.
Strong knowledge of Belgian EHS and Risk Management legislation is a strong asset
Minimum 2 years of experience in an EHS or Prevention Advisor role (industry or services).
Fluency in Dutch and English.
Proven experience in delivering training sessions, presentations, or EHS-related projects.
Positive, collaborative attitude with a strong sense of ownership.
Fluency in French.
